"Pressure generation using sintered diamond anvils in multianvil apparatus and primary pressure scales"

要 旨
  6-8 type (Kawai-type) multianvil apparatus is one of the most popular experimental devices to generate high-pressure and high-temperature conditions relevant to the Earth's deep interior, and has played important roles in high-pressure Earth sciences, especially in understanding the mineralogy of the upper mantle and uppermost lower mantle, because of its characteristics generating stable P-T conditions in relatively large sample volume with high reproducibility. Current techniques using sintered diamond anvils in multianvil apparatus allow us to reach 80 GPa without sacrificing the characteristics and now we are able to precisely observe P-dependent phenomena in the Earth's lower mantle conditions. P-V-T equations of state for materials are one of the most reliable application fields for the characteristics of multianvil as the stable and broad P-T generation, and it is substantial to determine the generated pressure accurately in such studies. For the accurate determination of the generated pressure, recently carried out comprehensively unified analysis for pressure-scale-free experimental datasets and determined a primary P-V-T EOS of MgO. I will show the current high-pressure tourniquets of P-generation using sintered diamond anvils and the primary P-scale for accurate measurements obtained by the Pressure-Scale-Free (PSF) modeling.
