要 旨
It has been known that 2~3% VSV < VSH anisotropy exist in the lowermost mantle, called D" layer. To explain the anisotropy, there are many studies for single crystal anisotropy. For example, the anisotropy of MgSiO3 post-perovskite could be produced by vertical alignments mainly of [001] and [010] (Tsuchiya et al., 2005). MgO that the expected secondary abundant phase in the D" layer is also very anisotropic and another likely candidate for the origin of the anisotropy. For more complete understanding of the origin of D" anisotropy, two phase mixture (MgSiO3 ppv + MgO) need to be considered. Therefore, I made a computational program to calculate the anisotropy for polycrystalline, analyze the anisotropy of MgSiO3 ppv + MgO aggregate, and how important role of ppv and MgO by calculating the elasticity of polycrystalline aggregate. In this seminar, I show the detail of the method and the result of the simulation for several different orientations with different degree of lattice preferred orientation. Since their deformation mechanisms in the lowermost mantle P-T condition are still unclear, the results can be contribute largely to understanding the origin of the anisotropy in the D" layer.
