要 旨
  In 1980s Liu and Cohen have predicted that the existence of a β-C3N4 phase with a bulk modulus similar to diamond. It has led to an enormous theoretical and experimental effort to study this material, and a number of studies have reported the success in producing carbon nitride crystals and thin films. Although many interesting results have been obtained, a comprehensive characterization of a crystalline C3N4 phase except graphitic-C3N4 is still missing. So, search for a macroscopic bulk synthesis route in order to comprehensively characterize the C-N materials is still a world-wide challenge. According to the examination of the literature on synthesis of carbon nitride, it is clear that high pressure techniques similar to the HP/HT-synthesis of diamond and c-BN should be applied to prepare C3N4 hard materials. In this study, we use pure well-crystallized g-C3N4 as precursor to examine the phase transition of C3N4 in high pressure and high temperature, and determined the phase stability and decomposition of g-C3N4 material.
