{"id":1319,"date":"2025-08-08T15:23:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T06:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grc.ehime-u.ac.jp\/en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=1319"},"modified":"2025-08-22T15:26:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-22T06:26:07","slug":"yoshihiro-inoue-and-kikuyo-inagaki-receive-jpgu-2025-student-outstanding-presentation-award","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.grc.ehime-u.ac.jp\/en\/archives\/news\/yoshihiro-inoue-and-kikuyo-inagaki-receive-jpgu-2025-student-outstanding-presentation-award","title":{"rendered":"Yoshihiro Inoue and Kikuyo Inagaki Receive JpGU 2025 Student Outstanding Presentation Award"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yoshihiro Inoue, a second-year master\u2019s student in the Graduate School of Science and Engineering (supervisor: Associate Professor Gr\u00e9aux, GRC), and Kikuyo Inagaki, a first-year master\u2019s student (supervisor: Lecturer Dekura, GRC), received the Student Outstanding Presentation Award at the <em>JpGU 2025<\/em> meeting, held from May 25 to 30, 2025, at Makuhari Messe, Chiba Prefecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU) is an organization comprising 50 societies and associations related to Earth and planetary sciences, and it hosts an annual meeting attended by over 9,000 participants this year. The Student Outstanding Presentation Award is evaluated primarily based on the individual student\u2019s ability, considering the logical structure of the presentation, clarity of research objectives and results, contribution to the development of the field, knowledge of existing research, and the student\u2019s initiative. Approximately 5\u201310% of entries are recognized as \u201coutstanding presentations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awards are given for each research field.
