On June 1, 2026, the Intercultural Communication and Science Research Symposium was held at the E.U. Regional Commons, Ehime University.<\/p>\n

The symposium brought together faculty members and students from GRC, as well as faculty members and students from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, who were visiting Ehime University as part of the COM 475 Intercultural Communication in Japan Program.<\/p>\n

The event opened with welcoming remarks by GRC Director Tsuchiya and talks by GRC Associate Professor Steeve Greaux and UB Professor of Instruction Blake Hendrickson.<\/p>\n

The symposium featured student presentations by Kohei Matsuda and Moe Kajiwara from GRC and Jacob Maglaya Honrado and Rachel Moo from UB.
\n\"\"Participants also visited the Ehime University Museum and joined a tour of the GRC laboratories, where they learned about the University’s educational and research activities.
\n\"\" \"\"Following the symposium, a reception was held, providing participants with an opportunity to interact and exchange views on a wide range of topics, including academic interests, cultural backgrounds, and student life. The symposium and reception together offered a valuable setting for faculty members and students from both universities to engage with one another and strengthen mutual connections.
