Graduate Student
The GRC faculty is responsible for lectures, practical training, and research supervision in the Earth Sciences field of the Natural Sciences Foundation Program, Department of Science and Engineering, Graduate School of Science and Engineering.
Therefore, to study at GRC as a master’s (Doctoral Course I) or doctoral (Doctoral Course II) student, one must enroll in the Earth Sciences field of the Natural Sciences Foundation Program, Department of Science and Engineering, Graduate School of Science and Engineering.
We welcome applications from students who have not majored in Earth Sciences at the undergraduate level, particularly those from mathematics, physics, chemistry, and related engineering fields.
Admissions for both the master’s and doctoral programs include a general entrance examination (typically held in late August) and a comprehensive selection process, which also covers international students, working professionals, and self-recommended applicants. In addition to April enrollment, a September enrollment option is also available.
■ Support for Doctoral Course Students
From April 2024 onward, students who advance to or enroll in the Doctoral Course at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering and study at GRC are eligible to apply for Ehime University’s next-generation researcher program, Ehime University EU SPRING, which supports outstanding doctoral students contributing to scientific and technological innovation.
